President RB Murtaza Rakhimov discussed the aspects of partnership between Bashkortostan and Austria
On September 8 President RB Murtaza Rakhimov held a business meeting with the deputy chairman of Russian-Austrian Mixed Commission for trade and economic cooperation Johann Sax in the House of Republic. The way of realization of several joint projects was under discussion there. Bashkortostan and Austria actively cooperate in sphere of economics and finances, oil-processing and oil-chemistry, building industry, machine-building, medicine and tourism. President RB and the deputy chairman of the Russian-Austrian Mixed Commission pointed to high economic efficiency of interaction between Bashkortostan and Austria.
As M-r Sax said, "Republic of Bashkortostan has become one of the first Russian regions, having established the bilateral relations with Austria". M-r Sax visited Ufa Aviation Technical University during his visit to Ufa and became acquainted with modern technologies in sphere of USATU innovational designs. Cooperation in sphere of nanotechnologies should become one of new directions in joint partnership in opinion of Murtaza Rakhimov and Johann Sax.
"We"ve reached a new level in our relations. Earlier our contacts were limited by export- import of goods and certain investments and now we are ready to cooperate in sphere of applied sciences" - Johann Sax said.
In 2007 the trade turnover between Bashkortostan and Austria exceeded 4,6 million USD.
The first deputy Prime-Minister of Government RB, Minister of finances RB Airat Gaskarov and the representative of Bashkortostan in Austria Vadim Pletnev took part in the negotiations.
